Mongolian Research and Education Center for Japanese Law Receives FY 2024 Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation

The Mongolian Research and Education Center for Japanese Law received the FY 2024 Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation.

The Foreign Minister’s Commendations are awarded to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in international fields, in order to acknowledge their contributions to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries and areas. The Commendations also aim to promote the understanding and support of the Japanese public for the activities of the recipients.

The award was conferred upon the promotion of academic exchange between Japan and Mongolia.

The Center was established in September 2006 within the School of Law of the National University of Mongolia. To date, 104 students have completed the program. Among graduates, 43 students entered Nagoya University, 35 obtained master’s degree, and 4 were conferred doctoral degree. The graduates play key roles in legal area in Mongolia and Japan, including at universities, courts, law firms, and private companies. Some graduates are involved in training the next generation as teaching staff at the Center and CALE, and contributing to the smooth promotion of the human resources development cycle.
