Visit from Judicial Academy in Mongolia
CALE was honored to host five fellows from the Judicial Academy of Mongolia (formerly known as the Judicial Training, Research and Information Institute) for a five-day training program at Nagoya University from October 5 to 9, 2026.
The program included lectures on legal research methods and Japan’s tort law system, visits to the Aichi Bar Association and the Nagoya District Court, and discussions with judges, legal practitioners, and faculty. Through these activities, participants explored topics such as legal research and comparative legal developments in Japan and Mongolia. As part of the program, Galbadar Lkhagvasuren, Judge of the Capital City Criminal Court of Appeals, delivered a lecture on Mongolia’s tort law system, offering students and researchers valuable insights into contemporary Mongolian law.
Among the participants was Erkhbilguun Erdenebaatar, a CJL Mongolia graduate and an alumnus of Nagoya University’s GSL. Seeing CJL Mongolia graduates contribute to Mongolia’s legal community and return to Nagoya University as professional fellows is a great source of pride for us.
We sincerely thank all the fellows for their active participation and valuable contributions, and we look forward to further strengthening ties between the legal communities of Mongolia and Japan.
